Lalo - Symphonie Espagnole Alexandre Da Costa / Carlos Kalmar

I spent a very enjoyable week in Madrid recording a CD of Lalo's music with these wonderful artists - Alexandre Da Costa and Carlos Kalmar with the Spanish Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra. In addition to the Symphonie Espagnole, there are two suites from his ballet 'Namouna' - some of which is pretty rare and completes a fantastically enjoyable disk. It is available on Warner Classics.

Unfortunately one camera wasn't recording, hence the rather bizarre distance/zoomed shot. Shame. The bulk of this interview (with all cameras running!) is also uploaded. This conversation took place in the middle of sessions in Madrid for a great CD for Warner Classics of Lalo's Symphonie Espagnole and two rare suites from his ballet 'Namouna'. It took place on 7th June 2012 at the Teatro Monumental

Ensaio Osesp - Carlos Kalmar e Nathan Gunn interpretam John Adams
